On their way upstairs, Kaylee didn't even bother to request the key for their usual room. They were kind of in a hurry.
It is to be hoped for the sake of their current neighbors, if they had any, that the walls were soundproofed.
The show's over now, though, and Kaylee's feeling pretty deliciously lazy.

He feels wearier than he can remember since taking final exams while still recovering from severe illness, and ... strangely light. Strangely empty.

It's pretty easy to sum up. When she brings it up again -- and she will, because she suspects he might not -- she'll find the simple way to put it.

Their bodies fit together, here, forming a little cocoon of warmth and comfort.

He drops off before she does; she's watching him through half-lidded eyes, and telling herself that she can worry about him tomorrow.
